In 1969, when I was ten years old, Zager & Evans had a one-hit wonder with their song, “In the Year 2525.”

They were wondering whether man would still be alive, whether woman would survive. They sang of truth and lies, of a future where - by 3535 - every thought, word, or deed would come packaged in a pill.

Century by century, they carried us further into…
